A Full Hour

June 4, 2019

“Half an hour's meditation each day is essential, except when you are busy. Then a full hour is needed."

Saint Francis de Sales
According to Saint Francis, for the past several days I have needed at least an hour for meditation. Yet I have counted myself fortunate to snatch ten minutes here and there - that’s just how it goes sometimes.
So I am taking advantage of the opportunity to meditate right now - while I write this email. As I take a breath and tune in, I notice some tension in the shoulders, neck, jaw, and temples. And it feels so good to consciously relax those muscles and release the stress energy from those areas.
I take another breath and on the exhale, I again feel a releasing of stress and tension - this time from the torso, the abdomen, back, and arms. Very nice. And with my next breath, the wave of relaxation moves all the way down the legs. Much, much better.
Next I turn to my surroundings. The balcony door is wide open; I forgot I had opened it hours ago. I hear birds chirping, I feel a breeze on my arms, I see sunlight coming through the window. The cat is perched on the desk next to me; the dog at my feet. I hadn't realized I had company! Uh-oh, they both want attention.... And I'm back after a few pats and kind words.
Wow. I am at a loss to express how I feel. The word relaxed comes to mind. What a difference a few minutes of simple awareness can make. Nothing to do other than pay attention, and I can choose to respond - or not - as I wish. I notice the disheveled stacks of paper and scattered pens on my desk, but I choose to keep writing to you - I'd rather tell you about what's happening at Inner Compass....

Innovatively INNER COMPASS®

It was a conscious decision to wait until we were successful in registering the trademark to make certain infrastructure improvements at Inner Compass and expand our reach. And wait we did for several years. Now the wait is now over and I am grateful. So excited! And a little nervous.
Years ago when I worked in the corporate world, I felt at home in the office, skating along the leading edge of innovation in all areas of communication and information technology. But time has passed and "No [wo]man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and [s]he's not the same [wo]man." (Heraclitus).
It feels like I'm wading through a chilly body of water from the shallow to the deep end. I am shivering, on my tip-toes, emitting little squeals with each step. I know that in just another minute - after I submerge myself - the water will feel great and I'll be laughing and splashing around with all the other kids. In the meantime, I really wouldn't mind if some kind stranger were to walk by and just dunk me already....

Summer creations

At the same time, I have been swimming strongly in the deep end with other innovations at Inner Compass. Genius ideas! I absolutely love this part of my work: creating a new offering that meets a real need of the people I serve. In Game Day with Spirit: A Platform to Success, you'll build confidence and trust in your public mediumship demonstration skills as you rediscover the fun of Spirit communication. My inner child cannot wait for this one!
Your inner child can jump in any time; Inner Compass has several workshops, group circles, and special events going on this summer.
I will travel soon to my favorite summer getaway in Lily Dale, New York. I'm excited to lead three workshops at Lily Dale, and I hope you'll consider joining me there. If you do, you'll understand what I mean when I say Lily Dale is my Wonderland, my Avalon, my Shambala.
While the cat is away, the mice still play at Inner Compass - all of our monthly circles - Pranic Healing Clinic, Book Circle, Soul Circle, and Mediumship Development Circle - will continue over the summer, thanks to our wonderful guest facilitators.
I will also be available for individual distance sessions throughout the summer. Whether you prefer a Mediumship Reading or an Intuitive Life Coaching Session, you can still learn what your Higher Self most wants you to know, so you can take actions to achieve your dreams.
Inner Compass has added a new offering: Spirit Speaks Levels 1-2 Intensive in a single, extended weekend. As you explore your natural abilities to see, hear, and sense Spirit through fun and interactive experiences, you'll begin to experience greater connection, meaning, and fulfillment in your life.
And finishing up the summer season will be our popular Mystic Message Event. Join us for an enchanted evening and open to your highest potential as you listen to loving, healing and guiding messages from Spirit.
So many options, yet the selection process is easy: simply tune into yourself as I did at the start of this email, choose one offering that calls to you, and sign up. With your higher self to guide you, there is no such thing as a wrong choice.
