Confessions of a Life Coach
"When something goes wrong in your life, just yell, 'Plot twist!' and move on."
- I had intended to streamline certain Inner Compass offerings. Check.
- I had intended to reorganize my home office. Half check - halfway done.
- I had intended to begin writing a book. Partial check for buying journals.
- I had intended to begin sending the Inner Compass newsletters on a bi-monthly basis, instead of monthly. Epic fail - apparently I wasn't specific enough with that intention, because I had meant to increase the frequency of the emails, not the other way around.
Life happens. Mom still hasn't returned home after her surgery; the full recovery that my family was expecting has since become a distant goal. And the question of the day becomes, "Now what?" How does one handle the everyday tasks of normal life when life seems anything but normal?
I've decided that it doesn't make sense to wait for life to become "normal" again before I begin writing the book, reorganizing the office, or sending the emails. If I want to walk my path with joy - if I am going to live a life that I love - I have to consciously live every day now.
So, I regroup. I review my original intentions from the New Year, clarify them, create new ones, re-prioritize everything, and begin anew. Or, as I recently posted in Facebook: "Plot twist! Plot twist! Plot twist!"
